What is On-Point Machining?

If you're not familiar with machining, then honestly, you probably don't need our services. Yes, I think I just broke some sort of sales rule about luring the customer to my business website and closing in on a sale. But so be it. Your average person is not going to need our services.

If you got to this point, then you must be a bit curious about what this shop is all about. Machining is basically taking a chunk of material, often times it's metal, and cutting away at it until it becomes a part with your desired result.

Still with me?

Let me show you a few examples.
The left side is a single solid piece of metal.   The right side, is what it turned into.

Here's another example.
Again, he left side is a single solid piece of metal.   The right side, is what it turned into.

Are you starting to get the picture?

It's actually pretty neat to just take a piece of material and turn it into something. Not everything is made out of a mold. Many products require machined parts.

My husband has been doing this for about 20 years now. It's not a skill many people are aware of. Often times, when he tells people he's a 'machinist', they think he's saying that he's a 'mechanic'.

"Oh, so you work on cars." ....is a response he often gets. It's quite funny.

If you would like more information about what we do, or know someone who may need our services, then I encourage you to visit our business website.
